Former City Councillor Chris Korwin KuczynskiChris attended elementary school at St. Veronica P.S., high school at Parkdale Collegiate Institute he then attended York University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.

Chris' job experience included; Sports Director, Special Assistant to the Minister of State for Multiculturalism, newspaper owner and publisher, and ran the family shoe business. He held a position in municipal politics for 22 years, from May 1981 to November 30, 2003.

Chris was a very active Councillor. He lived in his ward and was very involved in his community. He held job fairs regularly and organized many special events in an effort to make his community a better place to live.

He has held numerous positions on community councils, committees and boards throughout his carrier. Some include: Deputy Mayor, Katyn Memorial Fund, Parkdale Village Foundation, Physically Disabled Olympics, Non-Profit Housing Corporation, Canadian Friends for a Free Vietnam, Mayor's Task Force on Drugs, City of Toronto Millennium Task Force and Children and Youth Action Committee.

During his last term on City Council, Chris sat on over 25 committees. Some include: Humber-York Community Council, Youth Safety Sub-Committee, Toronto and District Canada Day Committee, Foodshare Board, Task Force on Community Safety, Polish Orphans' Charity, Tenant Defense Sub-Committee, Food and Hunger Action Committee and he was the Chair for the City of Toronto Special Events Committee.
