Forms, Fees & Guides

Building Permit Guides

These guides provide the information required for submitting applications for large residential, new building and non-residential construction projects.  The guides include general information, required documentation, forms, and fees. For small residential projects in detached, semi-detached and townhouses please see the guides for small residential projects (houses).

If you are not sufficiently familiar with the requirements and the preparation of drawings, we recommend that you hire an architect, designer, or other knowledgeable individual experienced and familiar with the Ontario Building Code and municipal by-laws, to prepare your final plans and specifications.
