Anne Johnston has been devoted to public service as a Toronto Councillor for 28 years. Respected for her proactive approach and her resourceful and determined nature, Anne has a strong record of leadership and achievement in municipal politics. She is best known for her ongoing contributions to public health - having The Anne Johnston Health Station named after her - as well as various arts, culture and heritage projects. She has acted as an advocate on behalf of seniors and persons with disabilities - spearheading efforts to make the City of Toronto more accessible by removing barriers - setting an example for other governments. She chairs the Toronto Seniors' Assembly and has been appointed the Seniors' Advocate.
