The City of Toronto is proud to be hosting the Pan American Games in July 2015 and the Parapan American Games in August 2015.
PACHI the Porcupine, the official mascot of the Games, was first welcomed by kids of all ages at a fun-filled event this summer. PACHI kept busy all summer long, visiting events across the province and getting people revved up for the Games.
PACHI’s 41 brightly coloured quills (one for each of the Pan American countries participating in the Games) represent special qualities: passion, collaboration, determination and creativity. He loves to demonstrate how the power of sport can engage communities and encourage a healthy lifestyle with his exuberant warm-ups and energetic appearances.
This little guy will be sure to inspire children and youth to get involved in one of the 51 sports that will be featured at the Games in 2015. Live the Games by visiting toronto.ca/parks/prd/torontofun/index.htm
to find programs near you.
Look for PACHI in your neighbourhood as he continues to tour Toronto and the Greater Golden Horseshoe area to bring Pan Am/Parapan Am excitement to every community. Check his schedule or invite him to your event at toronto2015mascot.ca/appearances.
