After-School Recreation Care

Please Note Registration for September 2017 to June 2018 school year starts Monday, June 12, 2017 at 7 a.m.

In order to guarantee a spot for the entire school year, please register for all three sessions on June 12.

After-School Recreation Care - ARCToronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation operates innovative, quality and safe after-school recreation care (ARC) for children ages 6-12 years old and Community Leadership After-School Program (CLASP) for youth ages 10-15 years old.

Under the supervision of caring, well-trained staff ARC/ CLASP offers:

  • positive role models
  • physical literacy and activity
  • a safe environment
  • safe staff ratios
  • outdoor and creative play
  • health and wellness
  • homework headstart
  • fun

Fee Subsidy: The City of Toronto's Welcome Policy offers financial subsidy for low-income residents. Those who qualify will receive an annual financial subsidy of $526 per child. To see if you qualify please call 416-338-2000.

Inclusion and Support: We welcome and include children and youth with special needs/disabilities to participate in the After-School Recreation Care program at a level of participation suitable to their ability and facility access. Register in-person at any Civic Centre during our regular business hours: Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (except on June 12, starting at 7:00 a.m.)

Community Leadership After School Program

The Community Leadership After-School Program (CLASP) has been developed based on the principles of healthy youth development. The program is designed to enhance life skills by promoting physical literacy, health & wellness, and community involvement through leadership workshops.
