In-Unit Waste Diversion Program


Provides in-unit containers to residents in multi-residential buildings allowing them to collect and dispose of their Blue Bin recyclable and Green Bin organic materials properly.


To help multi-residential building owners and property managers increase resident and tenant participation in waste diversion programs. In-unit containers are available to City-serviced multi-residential buildings at no cost.

  • Multi-residential customers must qualify and register with the City for garbage collection before they can receive in-unit containers
  • Request for in-unit containers must come from the building owner or property manager.
  • For first time orders only (i.e. you have not previously ordered containers for your building), buildings are eligible to receive an in-unit container for each unit in the building plus an additional 10% of the total number of units for replacements.
  • Every year, buildings are eligible to receive an additional 10% of the total number of units in the building for replacements.
Blue Bin Recycling Kitchen Catcher

The Blue Recycling Bag is designed to make it easier and more convenient for residents to collect and carry recyclable materials to the designated Blue Bin Recycling bin/area.

The Kitchen Catcher can be cleaned with hot water and dish-washing soap. Note: It is not dishwasher safe.
