Outdoor Curling

Thanks to a partnership with the Toronto Curling Association, Parks, Forestry & Recreation now boasts outdoor curling opportunities at two locations: Harry Gairey Artificial Ice Rink and West Mall Rink. Each feature three curling sheets as well as game stones, brooms, and hacks for community members to try the great sport!

Use of the curling equipment is free of charge, but community members must reserve a sheet of ice to play on during the allocated time slots. Using an online booking form provided by the Toronto Curling Association, community members can reserve a curling sheet and also request a Toronto Curling Association volunteer to teach them the rules of the game. Curlers under the age of 16 are required to wear a helmet. Limited quantity of helmets are available to be borrowed at both locations. Participants under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

The City of Toronto would like to thank the Toronto Curling Association for partnering with us on this exciting project.
