Recognizing the economic, energy security, and environmental benefits renewable energy systems offer, the Toronto Renewable Energy Office supports the City in meeting its mandate of installing renewable energy systems on all City buildings, where feasible, by 2020. The City of Toronto has employed renewable energy technologies for over 20 years and has systems installed on over 50 City buildings and properties.
