The City's web-based mapping system that allows staff and the public to identify the location and other important details of planned capital construction projects has been updated to show work planned for 2014.
Viewers can use the map-based system to learn about projects that the City, utilities, and other agencies, including Metrolinx and the TTC, plan to construct.
New for 2014, the site now includes long-term special projects such as the Union Station Revitalization and the Mississauga Transitway projects.
In addition to providing details about the nature of individual projects, the system helps to improve coordination of over-lapping projects, with the goal of more efficient capital expenditures and reduced inconvenience to the public.
The site shows planned capital work, but not emergency or short-term work. To find this information, visit the City's road restrictions website. It's a great place to find out about short-term construction work that affects our roads so that you can make travel plans in the city.
