Basement Flooding Protection Program

The City has launched a multi-year Basement Flooding Protection Program to implement the solutions and help prevent basement and surface flooding. Construction commenced in a number of neighbourhoods across the City since 2009.

College Street Construction

The City of Toronto will be working near College Street this summer between Lansdowne Avenue and Bathurst Street. Work is expected to begin in summer 2016.

Downtown Construction Projects

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission are completing various construction projects throughout downtown Toronto this spring, summer and fall.

Dufferin Street Bridge

Replacement of the Dufferin Street Bridge over the Rail Corridor, south of Springhurst Avenue.

Dunn and Dowling Bridges

The Dunn Avenue Bridge and the Dowling Avenue bridge are both approaching the end of their service lives and need to be replaced.

Finch Corridor Trail

Construction of a multi-use trail along the Finch Hydro Corridor, from Kenneth Avenue to Pineway Boulevard.

Hogg's Hollow

The City is reconstructing several local roads in Hogg's Hollow to address problems related to stormwater management.

Kennedy and Claremore Avenue Watermain

NEW 1050 mm diameter watermain to support existing watermain from Scarborough Pumping Station (the Lake) along Kennedy Road area to Midland and St Clair Avenue

Kingston Road

Replacement of streetcar tracks on Kingston Road between Queen Street East and Victoria Park Avenue. This construction project has been completed.

Old Colony Road Reconstruction

The City of Toronto is planning to reconstruct Old Colony Road to address the poor road conditions and drainage problems.

Rosehill Reservoir Rehabilitation

The City of Toronto will be carrying out waterproofing and structure rehabilitation work on the Rosehill Reservoir at David Balfour Park.

Six Points Interchange Reconfiguration

The Six Points Interchange, at Bloor Street West, Dundas Street West and Kipling Avenue, will be reconfigured to support the development of Etobicoke Centre as a vital mixed-use community, and the urban focus of the west part of Toronto.

St.Clair Reservoir

Waterproofing and building structure rehabilitation to the St. Clair Reservoir at Sir Winston Churchill Park.

Woodbine Bike Lane

Proposed bike lanes on Woodbine Avenue (O'Connor Dr. to Queen St. E.) and contra-flow bike lanes on Corley Avenue (Woodbine Ave. to Brookside Dr.) and Norway Avenue (Woodbine Ave. to Elmer Ave.).

Queensway Lake Shore Construction

The City of Toronto and the Toronto Transit Commission will be working on several construction projects along The Queensway and Lake Shore Blvd throughout the spring, summer, and fall of 2017.
