The Equity, Diversity and Human Rights division ensures that the City's services, programs and policies are responsive to the needs of Toronto's diverse communities by:
The City of Toronto recognizes and respects the unique status and cultural diversity among the Aboriginal communities of Toronto. In collaboration with Aboriginal communities, the City hosts events and engages in intergovernmental dialogue on an Urban Aboriginal strategy under the leadership of an Aboriginal Affairs Committee. The Equity, Diversity and Human rights division also serves the public as a repository of information: demographic information, information for new immigrants, Seniors Strategy consultation workbook (PDF) and Equity Lens.
