July 16 & 30, August 13 & 27 - Farmers' Market Free Sampling Tour (10 am & 10:30 am)
Learn about and sample the Farmers' Market best produce and foods. Led by a representative from Ontario Farm Fresh, tours will meet at the information tent north of the stage and will last approximately 20 minutes.
July 23 - Breakin' For Lunch – Breakdancing Competition
Hosted by Jon Drops and music by DJ Serious, celebrate Toronto’s rich b-boy and b-girl culture. This program provides space for young and professional dance artists to grow together and engages inter-generational sharing and growth in the community.
July 30 - Off Limits Sports presents BlitzBall
In addition to organizing Toronto's recreational social sport programs, Off Limits Sports provides structured pick-up sports programs that assist athletes in improving their game.
The public is invited to try "BlitzBall" – the newest innovative sport sensation to hit Canada. It combines the leg work of soccer and the physical contact of football, but with ultimate protection by wearing a 1.5m diameter plastic ball.
August 6 - Urban Violinist, Yosvani Castañeda
Cuban-born and Toronto raised Yosvani Castañeda plays outside-the-box. His ability to combine the classical sound of violin with countless genres is why he embodies the City's musical diversity.
August 13 - Beat Café with Toronto's Poet Laureate and guests
Enjoy an afternoon with Toronto's Poet Laureate George Elliott Clarke and his invited guests Tanya Davis, Honey Novic, Mustafa the Poet and Dave Bidini. Watch these fantastic poets, spoken word artists and songwriters unite to perform their original works with musical accompaniment.
August 20 - Fresh Summer Recipes with Chef Emily Richards
Western University alumni, author, well-regarded professional home economist, and Chef Emily Richards will demonstrate the preparation of a Late Summer Vegetable Soup, Pancetta Swiss Chard Pasta and Stovetop Cobbler.
August 27 - Gurpreet Chana presents TABLIX
Producer, technician, composer and performer, Gurpreet Chana is one of Canada's leading tabla fusion artists. This year, he presents TABLIX – an exploration of the melodic potential of the tabla – which blends traditional with digital to create a new artistic style.
July 9 - Liona Boyd
Five-time Juno Award winner and "The First Lady of the Guitar" Liona Boyd has charmed millions around the world through her concerts, television specials and several Gold and Platinum recordings.
Dave Hartmann, award winning PGA of Canada Class-A golf professional generated an innovative teaching called P.O.W.E.R. Lesson. The P.O.W.E.R. Lesson is the perfect visual learning aid system to help improve your game.
July 16 - Food Truck Showdown
Two of Toronto's hottest food trucks - Busters Sea Cove and Fidel Gastro's - will go head- to-head in creating a starter and main dish using a secret ingredient. Co-hosted by Chef Emily Richards and Scott White.
