StART Road Mural Pilot Project

The StreetARToronto Road Mural program permits the installation of mid-block murals on the road in low volume, local streets during existing street events that include permitted road closures.

Up to 4 local community groups will develop and install the mural projects, including a community consultation and ensuring support from local residents on the concept and design. They will also take responsibility for all project costs.

Designs, project materials and location suitability will be reviewed and approved by the General Manager of Transportation Services.

StART Road Murals Application Process

The StreetARToronto Road Murals pilot project will follow a two stage application process. A Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) to establish eligibility of community groups and their chosen road mural locations can be obtained by emailing streetart@toronto.ca.

Community groups that successfully meet the conditions of the REOI will be invited to submit a final project plan including a summary of community consultation and local residential support for the final design and installation plan.
