Civic Centre Locations

Toronto's City Hall and Civic Centres are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sunday and statutory/designated holidays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free telephone access to 311 is available at all locations. East York Civic Centre

(North-west corner of Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue)

Public transit: subway to Coxwell, then O'Connor bus #70 north on Coxwell.

Accessible entrances and ramps

The primary accessible entrance to East York Civic Centre is from the fully accessible ramp located south of the main doors.

There is a door bell at the main doors that can be used to contact the Security Desk for assistance. See map for location.

Wheel-Trans

The Wheel-Trans drop-off and pick-up location is the accessible ramp near the main doors.

Parking

Etobicoke Civic Centre

Public transit: subway to Islington, then Burnhamthorpe bus #50 west to The West Mall.

Accessible entrances and ramps

The primary accessible entrance to Etobicoke Civic Centre is the main entrance, which is fully accessible.

There is a ramp that runs south from the main entrance, west side.

There is an intercom at the main door that can be used to contact the Security Desk for assistance. See map for location.

Parking

The ramp ends at two accessible parking spots. There are four additional accessible parking spots in the visitor's parking lot.

Additional information

Once inside there are two elevators, one each at the north and south ends of the main hallway.

The elevators are in the locked down areas and after-hours access to them will require a Staff or Security escort.

Metro Hall

Public transit: subway to St. Andrew, then walk through "PATH" to Metro Hall or walk above ground 2 blocks west.

Accessible entrances and ramps

The primary accessible entrance to Metro Hall is the John Street main entrance.

There is a single door that is accessible by a ramp from both the north and south sides of the building.

The East Rotunda/Metro Square entrance door is also fully accessible.

There is an intercom at both these doors that can be used to contact the Security Desk for assistance. See map for locations.

Wheel-Trans

The John Street main entrance is the Wheel-Trans drop-off and pick-up location.

Parking

There is an elevator in the concourse that is accessible to travel to and from the Metro Centre concourse.

North York Civic Centre

Accessible entrances and ramps

South doors:

The primary accessible entrance to North York Civic Centre is from the North York Boulevard south doors. There is a drop-off/pick-up circle close to two accessible doors on the main floor.

North doors:

The north doors are equally accessible via a circular drive off of Beecroft Road. This drop-off area also services the Douglas Snow Aquatics Centre and the west entrance to NYCC. See map for location.

There is a door bell at the north and south doors that can be used to contact the Security Desk for assistance.

Wheel-Trans

The south doors serve as a pick-up and drop-off location for Wheel-Trans customers travelling to North York Civic Centre and the Toronto District School Board.

The north doors serve as a pick-up and drop-off location for Wheel-Trans customers going to the Toronto Public Library located next door. See map for locations.

Parking

There are five reserved accessible parking spots at the south doors. See map for location.

There are no accessible parking spots at the north doors but there is Municipal Parking (Green P) on the west side of Beecroft Road. For more information please call 416-393-7275 or visit www.greenp.com. See map for location.

Additional information

Mel Lastman Square is accessible from the north-east corner of the lower level of NYCC. There is a small vertical platform lift that requires the assistance of on-site Security personnel contacted from an intercom at that location.

Scarborough Civic Centre

Public transit: subway to Kennedy, then L.R.T. to Scarborough Town Centre.

Accessible entrances and ramps

The primary accessible entrance to Scarborough Civic Centre is from the fully accessible ramp located directly to the right of the main entrance.

This ramp is accessible from the Bicentennial Drive entrance (entrance off Borough Drive directly in front of Scarborough Civic Centre).

There is an intercom/phone at this door that can be used to contact the Security Desk for assistance. See map for location.

The Health Centre also serves as an alternate fully accessible entrance. There is an elevator located inside the Health Centre that can be used to access the upper or lower level. You can access the Health Centre from Borough Drive at Borough Approach East from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Wheel-Trans

Wheel-Trans pick-up and drop-off locations are at the Scarborough Civic Centre main entrance and at the Health Centre entrance (access to Health Centre entrance is from Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

There are three reserved accessible parking spots at the top of the accessible ramp.

Accessible entrances and ramps

The primary accessible entrance to Toronto City Hall is the Hagerman Street entrance (north entrance).

There is a fully accessible ramp and the entry hours are from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you are arriving outside these hours please use the intercom to contact the Security Desk for access. See map for location.

The alternative accessible entrance is through the City Hall main centre doors as per business hours listed below.

There are also two fully accessible ramps located along Bay Street to access Nathan Phillips Square. See map for location.

There are fully accessible ramps on both sides of the main entrance.

The Wheel-Trans drop-off and pick-up is via Municipal Drive which is right in front of the main entrance.
