Food Vendor Opportunities

Food Vendors are an important enhancement to the events produced by the City of Toronto. By participating you will build your brand within the community and give your company exposure to thousands of attendees that our events attract annually. The City of Toronto produces Winter/Summerlicious, Doors Open Toronto, Canada DayNuit Blanche Toronto and the Cavalcade of Lights.

Please note that Fresh Wednesdays and Tasty Thursdays will not take place in 2015.

Eligibility Criteria & Application Process

Eligible participants must:

  • Be able to operate an outdoor temporary establishment while adhering to Temporary Food Establishment Vendor Guidelines (PDF) (Created by Toronto Public Health).

  • Maintain proper Commercial General Liability Insurance of $2,000,000 per occurrence, listing the City of Toronto as an additional Insured

To participate in events produced by the City of Toronto, the Vendor must:

  • Complete a Vendor Interest Form to become eligible to participate in events produced by the Special Events Office. This only needs to be completed once to be eligible for future years.
  • Forward the completed form to spevprod@toronto.ca mail to City Hall 100 Queen Street West, 6th floor West Tower, Toronto ON M5H 2N2 or fax to 416-395-0278.

Vendors will be notified once the City of Toronto has received the Vendor Interest Form. At that time, the Vendor will be added to a contact list for event vending opportunities.

The City's Selection Process supports the overall goals and objectives of each specific event and is equitable and transparent to all vendors. The full Selection Process report can be found here.
