Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan

Facilities Master Plan Update January 2016

Update 2 | January 2016

Consultation is underway for the City's Parks and Recreation Facilities Master Plan (FMP).

Help shape the vision for Toronto's parks and recreation facilities

Public involvement is essential to develop this plan. Whether or not you use our parks and recreation facilities, we want to hear from you.

  • Take the FMP survey before January 24. A second survey will follow in fall 2016.
  • Share the survey link with your networks to make sure that we hear from as many people as possible.
  • Attend a Town Hall meeting in late February / early March – look for details in February's update.

The FMP will recommend and guide the creation of new and renewed facilities to best meet local and city-wide needs. The plan is expected to be completed in early 2017.

The availability, distribution and use of parks and recreation facilities is important to us all. Parks and recreation improve quality of life, and there is a strong relationship between public recreation and benefits to personal, community and economic well-being. The FMP will promote equitable access to parks and recreation facilities and the benefits they bring.
