Free Fitness Classes

On June 9th join us from 12 pm-2 pm for fun and fitness. Get some activity into your lunch hour with free yoga, Zumba and tai chi classes. See demonstrations of classes such as Gentle Fit, Body Sculpt, and Pilates which are offered all over the city. Test yourself at boot camp and jump rope stations. Summertime with Resa's Pieces
June 13, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Conducted by Toronto musician, Resa Kochberg, this lively community band of over fifty members performs concerts of recognizable tunes that are sure to engage the audience in an evening of fun. From rock and roll to classical music, jazz standards to marches, audiences will be clapping, cheering and singing along with this energetic band. The energy is contagious!
The African Experience Festival
June 18, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The African Experience Festival (AFEX) celebrates the best of Africa in an authentic festival that showcases local and International talents. Guests to the festival can enjoy traditional and food fusion recipes from local restaurants and food vendors, bask in traditional African tunes from musicians with sonorous voices playing on their djembe drums and saxophones and travel to Africa through their minds from prime culture exhibited at the festival.
Yamaha Father's Day Concert
June 19, 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The Yamaha Father's Day Concert showcases the musical achievements by students enrolled in Yamaha Music School's popular music courses. You are invited to listen to guitar, violin, woodwind and cello students perform classical, pop and rock pieces.
Thornhill Community Concert Band
June 21, 7:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
Under the direction of Denny Ringler, the Thornhill Community Band will perform a wide range of music such as marches, Broadway, popular and classical pieces.
Concert Under the Stars
June 23, 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
An evening concert for families featuring music from all genres: Broadway, light classics, pop, big band and movie themes.

Our annual event attracts community members and leaders, and artists, each representing various cultural groups across Canada. We encourage community members to share their cultures in the form of singing and dancing, delivered to an expected tens of thousands of attendees.
The Festival features live performances from musicians, dancers and magicians. As well as information booths for non-for-profit organizations and community representatives to bring attention to their organizations wonderful work with culturally diverse communities in Canada.
