Principles to Guide the Integrity Commissioner's Use of Twitter.
Under the City of Toronto Act, 2006, the Integrity Commissioner is responsible for performing in an independent manner the functions assigned by City Council with respect to the application of the City’s Codes of Conduct and related policies.
At its meeting of June 10, 11, 12 and 13, 2014, City Council appointed Valerie Jepson as the City's new Integrity Commissioner, effective September 6, 2014. Valerie replaces Janet Leiper whose five-year term of office ended on September 5, 2014.
Valerie will be the first full-time Integrity Commissioner for the City of Toronto since the position was created in 2004 with the appointment of David Mullan, the first person in Canada to be appointed as an Integrity Commissioner.
In accordance with the City's Expense Claim Policy, the Integrity Commissioner publishes expenses for travel and hospitality related to local, national and international speaking engagements, education and outreach activities.
