City of Toronto golf courses generally open from mid-April to late November, however the exact opening date is subject to weather conditions. If warm weather arrives early, an opening date in March is entirely possible. Announcements are usually posted on our website prior to courses opening. You can also subscribe to the Golf Toronto newsletter for course information and updates.
Each City of Toronto course is different and great fun for both advanced golfers and those who are new to the game. Dentonia Park or Scarlett Woods, have more Par 3 holes providing a comfortable fun experience for golfers to learn the game, grow their abilities and sharpen their skills. Humber Valley and Don Valley and Tam O Shanter offer a traditional variety of holes in lush landscape, great for golfers who want to practice both a long and short game.
Yes. All courses offer private and semi-private lessons for adults and juniors of all abilities with golf professionals certified by the PGA of Canada. City golf courses offer beginner golf clinics as a series of four, one-hour classes, from spring to fall. Information on lessons and clinics can be found by checking our calendar of events or by calling our courses and asking to speak with the Pro Shop for further details.
The City of Toronto has many options for young golfers to learn the game or improve their skills. These include junior memberships, summer camps, clinics and lessons offered with our PGA of Canada Professionals that can be tailored to any skill level. Packages are available for private, semi-private and group lessons, from beginner to expert. Also the City offer several free golf clinics hosted by our Professionals and scheduled at various times throughout the year. More information about what's on offer for junior golfers.
You can buy 12 rounds for the price of 10 with our Toronto Golf Value Packs at all 5 courses. Value Packs make a great gift, as you may purchase these as a gift and the recipient can share the rounds with friends. You can also purchase individual rounds. To purchase please contact the individual courses during the golf season, and Don Valley Golf Course if the season is closed.
If you're looking for a time when the courses are less busy, try booking around 1 or 2 pm. At this time courses typically slow down, so you can take your time and relax. It's best to confirm with the Pro Shop directly.
Yes. We have lots of promotions including:
City of Toronto Golf Value Pack: Golfers get 2 free rounds when a package of 10 is purchased. (Prices are based on 18-hole adult round) Rounds are transferrable between golfers, but not between golf courses.
Family Nights: Every Saturday and Sunday evening throughout the season children under 18 play for free with each adult green fee purchased. Golf 9 holes with your family at every course.
Replay Ticket: Unique to Dentonia Park, purchase and play one Adult weekday ticket and return within 7 days with your ticket stub for an $9 discount on your weekday morning round (holidays excluded).
Junior and Senior Rates: At every City of Toronto golf course Junior (18 and younger) and Seniors (60 and over) can take advantage of discount rates.
Twilight Rates: Once twilight hits, rates go down. Call the course of your choice for details.
Clinics and Lessons: Check our events calendar for information on clinics and lessons including free Junior clinics. Register early before space fills up.
Junior Memberships: Toronto Junior Golf Membership fee is $300 per person, including tax. Members can book tee times at any course all season from Monday to Thursday after 11 am. On Fridays, weekends and holidays when booked with another paying customer tee times can be booked after 12. To apply fill out an application.
Yes. All our courses are accessible by public transit and you can use the Map of Golf Courses to find a City of Toronto golf course near you. It is best to speak with the Pro Shop at each course directly to help accommodate you or your group in terms of tee-times, lessons and other accessibility needs.
Unfortunately at this time we do not accommodate Welcome Policy credits at the golf courses.
At City golf courses, the weekday rates for seniors are generally lower than the rates on Fridays, weekends and holidays. However, seniors always get a discounted price compared to the regular adult rates. On weekends, these discounts take effect after 12 p.m.

Yes. We have popular leagues and tournaments at our courses. It is best to inquire with the course of your choice by calling the Pro Shop who can help direct you.
The price of a Value Pack differs by course. You can expect to pay 10 times the price of an adult weekday round for that course, plus applicable taxes. You will receive 2 free rounds with the Value Pack, which you can share with friends or keep all to yourself. If you wish to use your value pack to play on weekends or holidays, then the adult green fee rate for weekends and holidays will apply.
2017 Value Pack Prices
Normally, Value Pack rounds are used at the course they where they were purchased for. A Humber Valley Value Pack is used at Humber Valley Golf Course. However, a Value Pack purchased for one course can be used to play at another City course with Value Pack offers of equal or lesser value. You can play at Humber Valley or Dentonia Park on weekdays with a Tam O'Shanter Value Pack but it cannot be used at Don Valley. Value Packs purchased at the weekend rate can be used during weekday times.
Yes. They are valid on weekdays or weekends depending on which package is purchased and must be used during the season of issuance. You may give the rounds in you Value Pack to friends and you can use weekend packs at any time on weekdays.
You can buy a Value Pack at any City of Toronto golf course during the season. During the off-season you can purchase Value Packs for all courses at Don Valley golf course. Please call 416-392-2465.
We only offer Golf Value Packs based on 18-hole adult rates. However, we offer everyday low rates to seniors at all City of Toronto golf courses.
Yes, but each ticket used counts towards an one complete 18-hole round, individual tickets cannot be divided into two 9 hole rounds.
