Fitness Memberships and Class Passes

The City of Toronto offers a wide range of fitness options to suit every age, schedule, interest, ability and budget.

Fitness Class Options

The City offers hundreds of fitness classes across Toronto. If you prefer a specific class, location and time slot, you can register for a whole session and be guaranteed a spot. For those who want more flexibility, there are also passport (unlimited classes for a specific period of time), punch-card (packages of classes) and pay-as-you-go (drop-in) options:

  • Passports - offer you flexibility to drop-in to a fitness class (space permitting), or attend a variety of classes at different facilities as many times as you want within the defined time frame of the passport. This option is great for those who want to develop a regular fitness routine. Use of the weight room is not included.
  • Punch cards – allow you to purchase a package of 10 classes for a discounted price. This is a great option for those who want to try different activities and classes without the pressure of attending weekly.
  • Pay-As-You-Go - The Pay-As-You-Go option allows you to attend and pay for a single class (space permitting). This option is great for someone looking to try out new activities or add extra workouts to their routine without any commitment.

Please note: Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Qigong are not included with passports, punch cards and passes. Non-prime youth rates do not exist for fitness classes.

Conditions of use for Passports, Punch Cards and Pay-As-You-Go Fees

  • Space is not guaranteed as registered participants have priority access.
  • You will only be admitted to the class after registered participants have been accommodated.
  • Check with program staff to determine which locations offer these options.
  • Programs at Fitness Centres are not included.
  • Program schedule subject to change based on registration and attendance.
  • Older Adult fees apply to participants 60 years and older.
  • Cannot be used for Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates and other specialty classes.
  • Cards must be presented at each visit. Identification required.
  • Cards are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • $10 replacement fee for lost or stolen passport or membership cards.

Fitness Centre Memberships

The City has over 40 fitness facilities across Toronto and offers three types of memberships:

  • Type A Membership: provides participants with access to lane swims, fitness classes and weight rooms at all Type A, B & C locations
  • Type B Membership: provides participants with access to lane swims, fitness classes and weight rooms at all Type B & C locations only
  • Type C Membership: provides participants with access to lane swims, fitness classes and weight rooms at all Type C locations only

Access to all programs is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Free and Low Cost Options for Recreation

The City of Toronto is committed to increasing access to recreation by offering Free drop-in Programs, Community Centres Where Programs are Free, Yearly Credits and Older Adult Discounts
