The Information & Technology Division (I&T) at the City of Toronto provides leadership for the planning, development and management of the City's information technology systems. Led by the Chief Information Officer, the I&T Division partners with all City divisions to deliver business IT solutions for City programs and services. The I&T Division manages the overall investment in IT, optimizing and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key enterprise solutions at the City include the City's website (toronto.ca) and key public-facing online services for residents, businesses and visitors of Toronto. Examples include: 311 Toronto, Well Being Toronto, Recreation programs, Parking Permits, Business and Development, Permits and Licensing, Transportation and Roads, to name a few. Internal to the City, the I&T Division also supports the City's corporate financial and human resources solutions as well as the City's IT infrastructure, including the network, data centres, and over 20,000 computers.
