Port Union Community Recreation Centre is a small but vibrant recreation centre offering a wide range of activities for all, from tots to older adults. The Recreation Centre boasts a well equipped fitness centre, library, skateboard park, gymnatorium/hall and an older adult lounge to accommodate everyone's needs. A wide range of programs are offered from fitness classes to bingo, as well many community events such as Winterfest and a summer concert series are provided for our local residents.

Learn to Bike - ChildBrand new riders and beginners will learn how to balance, pedal, steer and stop. Students remain on site for all lessons and do not ride on the street. Learn to Bike courses offer 6 hours of lessons over multiple visits. Biking Basics are 2-hour clinics to improve current skills. Child with Caregiver courses are offered at some sites, to teach Caregivers how to support the child who is learning to ride. Caregivers will not be using a bike.

This course is for those who want an in-depth understanding of first aid such as: medical/legal aspects, spinal injuries, heat or cold injuries, bone and joint injuries, abdominal and chest injuries, burns, and medical emergencies. Lifesaving Society Standard First Aid is recognized by the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board and the Ontario Health Regulation and is one of the prerequisites to NLS. Prerequisites: None. If you withdraw from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. No refunds are given for classes or programs that you miss. 100% attendance and active participation are mandatory!
