Dennis R. Timbrell Resource Centre is located in the Flemingdon Park Area, near the Ontario Science Centre. It is the hub of a high-density, multicultural community. A branch public library and licensed day care centre are part of the complex. Programs are provided for all ages from preschool to older adults from early morning lane swim to late night sports programs.

This location is a community centre where programs are free.

Camp Activity Child - All Day BasicThese Activity Camps are designed to give children, ages 6-12, a fun-filled, action-packed and safe camp experience. Campers will be involved in arts and crafts, games, sports, special events, outdoor activities and local trips. These camps have no consumable fee.

Cardio - AdultThese classes are suitable for all levels, focusing on providing a minimum of 20 minutes of cardiovascular exercises that use large muscle groups in a continuous and rhythmic manner. Most classes will also include a muscle conditioning component. Regular participation can help improve one's cardiovascular system (heart/lungs), flexibility, balance and co-ordination. Small equipment may be used.

Adult Swim 1Basic swimming skills and water safety. This is an introductory or beginner level. Prerequisite: A keen interest in developing skills and knowledge that promotes safe enjoyment of aquatic environments. AL: National Lifeguard Service (NLS) - Pool OptionThis course is designed to develop sound understanding of lifeguarding principles, good judgement and a mature, responsible attitude toward the role of the lifeguard. The program emphasizes teamwork, leadership, communications and the prevention of accidents and the treatment of medical emergencies. Participants are taught advanced lifeguarding skills. This award remains current for two years from the date of certification. Candidates must bring proof of pre-requiste awards. Prerequisites: Minimum age of 16 years and proof of Bronze Cross, Standard First Aid with CPR-C. SFA/CPR-C MUST be from one of the following recognized agencies: Lifesaving Society, Canadian Red Cross, St. John's Ambulance and Canadian Ski Patrol. If you withdraw from a program 10 days or less from the course start date, a 50% refund is provided. No refunds are given for classes or programs that you miss. 100% attendance and active participation are mandatory!

Ultra Youth Swim 1Learning to swim can be intimidating when you are older and just starting out. This program is designed to meet the needs of youth (9-16 years) that have little to no swim training. Instead of trying to fit into the traditional Learn to Swim Levels with children half their age, youth can learn to swim in a group lesson with their peers. This is an introductory level teaching the basics of getting wet, basic floating positions, and introduction to front and back swims. We are committed to creating a comfortable swim environment for people learning to swim at any age. Knowing how to swim can save your life! Get in the swim!

New skills such as breaststroke, surface dives and stride entries will also be introduced.
